Elsewhere, bitcoin’s price saw a partial recovery. The price of the cryptocurrency was at $44,631.50 as of 2:39 a.m. ET Monday. It came after Tesla CEO Elon Musk clarified in a tweet that the electric vehicle maker “has not sold any Bitcoin.”
Earlier, the price of bitcoin tumbled below $43,000 after Musk implied in a Twitter exchange Sunday that Tesla may have dumped its bitcoin holdings. Last week, Tesla said it would no longer accept bitcoin for car purchases due to environmental concerns.
