Alabama will head on the road this week as the top-ranked Crimson Tide will take on the No. 11 Florida Gators. Florida has an interesting dilemma at quarterback, as Emory Jones started the season at the position but backup Anthony Richardson has impressed plenty when given the opportunity to play.
Richardson was also banged up in the Gators’ win this past Saturday against USF. Should Richardson play, it means coach Nick Saban has to prepare to face both Gators signal-callers.
“First of all, they do have a two-quarterback system,” Saban said Monday when speaking with reporters. “I don’t think you prepare differently. Both guys have the ability to make plays passing and they run the same sort of quarterback runs with both guys and both guys are very talented in both areas. When the quarterback can run and they run quarterback runs, it’s almost like playing against Wildcat so they’ve got an extra blocker.
