It’s never too early for college football bowl projections ahead of the 2022 season and, thanks to Pete Fiutak of College Football News, fans have another glimpse at the postseason. College football’s full 43-game bowl schedule was revealed last month, providing us with game dates, kickoff times and the TV schedule for your viewing pleasure. Next season’s College Football Playoff national championship will be played at SOFI Stadium in Inglewood, California on Jan. 9, 2023.
New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday, meaning many of the bowl slates marquee games will be played on Dec. 31, including both playoff semifinal showdowns in the Peach and Fiesta, respectively.
A couple offseason notes as reminders — the annual Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida, has been renamed the ReliaQuest Bowl after losing its title sponsor after two decades. The game will be played on Jan. 2, and features a team from the SEC against a Big Ten or ACC program.
