The Georgia Bulldogs won the College Football Playoff last season, taking down the Alabama Crimson Tide, 33-18. The game was played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the same stadium that the 2022 NFL Combine was held.
Many of the same Bulldogs players who won a title in that building returned just two months later to participate in the combine in hopes of hearing their name called in the 2022 NFL Draft. Following Saturday’s session, a handful of Georgia players at the combine had a message for everyone.
The message was spearheaded by two of Georgia’s top prospects in the upcoming draft, linebacker Nakobe Dean and defensive lineman Jordan Davis. Check out what they had to say below.
Former Bulldogs littered several lists of “combine winners” after many of the program’s brightest stars showed their best efforts against peers inside Lucas Oil Stadium.
“The Georgia Bulldogs won a national championship,” NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah said after Day 3 of the combine. “I think they just won a combine championship this evening with what they did. Jordan Davis, you’re not supposed to be 340 pounds and move at this speed. Never seen anything like it before.”
