No Time to Die star Lashana Lynch explains a difficult stunt test she had to perform during her audition. Originally intended for a release in November 2019, no other film has perhaps been affected more by the COVID-19 pandemic than the 25th James Bond movie. Daniel Craig reprises the titular role for the fifth and final time while Cary Joji Fukunaga takes over from Sam Mendes as director. After numerous delays, No Time to Die finally releases in theaters in the US on October 8.
Audiences can expect to see an enticing mix of new and returning characters. Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and Rory Kinnear all reprise their roles from Spectre, while Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Billy Magnussen, and David Dencik join the cast as new characters. Lashana Lynch is another notable addition whose character, Nomi, is an MI6 agent who takes over the 007 number after Bond goes into retirement. However, Lynch is not meant to be Craig’s replacement for future films. In fact, producer Barbara Broccoli says they won’t begin the recasting discussion until next year to give Craig a proper farewell.
