A new Thor: Love and Thunder action figure reveal is teasing some big changes for the Guardians of the Galaxy. Having left New Asgard on Earth to join the Guardians in space after the events of Avengers: Endgame, it seems as though he will still be connected with Star-Lord and company in the upcoming sequel for the God of Thunder. However, the Guardians might have expanded with a new status quo after fighting the forces of Thanos alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor chose to leave the Asgardians on Earth, making Valkyrie New Asgard’s ruler in his stead. Deciding that it was time for him to be who he really is rather than who he’s supposed to be, Thor joined the Guardians of the Galaxy (much to the chagrin of Peter Quill’s Star-Lord). As such, it was presumed that Thor would still be a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, though he may have instigated a rather significant change for their roster and operations amongst the stars.
